Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) released the following statement today after President Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address.

“President Trump delivered an inspiring message for our nation tonight and outlined a policy agenda that both parties can support in order to achieve his vision. Under the President’s leadership, America’s economy is booming, employment and wages are up, we’ve slashed burdensome government regulations, our military is strong, and our veterans will finally receive the care they have earned and deserve. The new Congress is now tasked with building upon these extraordinary achievements to further improve the lives of all Americans.”

“The State of the Union tonight was also a call to action. I echo the President’s call for a safe and legal immigration system. It is clear our current immigration system is broken. We must put politics aside and work together to end the scourge of human trafficking, drug smuggling, and illegal immigration happening at our southern border.”
