Military and Veterans Liaison Chuck Byers from the office of Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) presented Geraldine “Gerry” Berger, retired Army and Air National Guard veteran and Sun City West resident, with Arizona’s District 8 Congressional Recognition.

“Gerry served the country for 53 years, first in the Army and then in 1973, she joined the Air National Guard,” said Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08). “Her passion for helping veterans and her community has continued long after her many years of service. She has helped over 400 domestic abuse survivors; helped raise over $20,000 to assist disabled veterans in the West Valley; and actively supports several community organizations. She was even inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame in 2016. Thank you, Gerry, for your service to our country and our community!”
