Lesko to Accompany Perdue on Phoenix Food Bank Visit

SURPRISE, AZ—Today, U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) announced she would accompany U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue on his visit to the St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix, Arizona. The food bank is a partner of the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farmers to Families Food Box Program, which has distributed over 30 million food boxes in support of American farmers and families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’m looking forward to accompanying Secretary Perdue on his visit to the St. Mary’s Food Bank,” said Congresswoman Lesko following the announcement. “The USDA’s Farmers to Families Food Box Program is doing great work in communities across the United States, and I’m excited to see firsthand the great work the program is doing right here in our community. I look forward to welcoming the secretary to Arizona!”
St. Mary’s Food Bank is one of the USDA’s partners in the Phoenix area helping feed Americans in need through various nutrition programs administered by the Food and Nutrition Service, including USDA’s Farmers to Families Food Box Program.
