WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) sent a letter to President Joe Biden asking him to send COVID-19 vaccines to U.S. Embassies to provide vaccinations to American citizens who want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but are currently living abroad and are not employed by the U.S. Government.

“Millions of Americans living abroad have not had the opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine either because they cannot travel back to the U.S. easily, or because the nation where they live only allows foreign nationals to receive vaccines after their own citizens,” said Congresswoman Lesko. “American expats contributed to the development and distribution of vaccines through their tax dollars and they should have the opportunity to be vaccinated quickly and efficiently.”

Lesko was joined by Representatives Vern Buchanan (R-FL-16), Louie Gohmert (R-TX-01), Richard Hudson (R-NC-08), Nancy Mace (R-SC-01), Peter Meijer (R-MI-03), Devin Nunes (R-CA-22), Brad Wenstrup (R-OH-02), Roger Williams (R-TX-25), and Joe Wilson (R-SC-02) in sending this letter.
