WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) spoke on the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in support of her amendment which strikes a provision to allow the of Department of Education to withhold funds from institutions of higher education if these institutions are currently conducting or are preparing to conduct marijuana research. Under current law, universities can already conduct this research as long as they are compliant with existing laws and go through proper procedures.
