SURPRISE, ARIZONA—U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) presented Project Smile Arizona in Glendale, AZ with a Congressional Recognition for their dedication to bringing cheer to those who are battling COVID-19 in hospitals alone through handmade cards. Project Smile Arizona’s handmade cards are now also being sent to cancer patients, first responders, veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness.

“I am honored to recognize Project Smile Arizona for the exemplary work they do to spread smiles in our community,” said Congresswoman Lesko. “As many Arizonans experience loneliness and isolation during this pandemic, it is imperative to remind one another that we are not alone. Project Smile Arizona shows Arizonans that they are not alone in their battles."

Congressional Recognitions are presented to residents of Arizona’s 8th Congressional District who are doing exceptional work in the community. If you would like to nominate someone for a Congressional Recognition, click here.
