SURPRISE, ARIZONA—U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) presented Dustin Barron of Glendale, AZ with a Congressional Recognition for his efforts to help those who are victims of human trafficking or experiencing homelessness. Among his efforts are fundraising for human trafficking prevention and providing water and food to those in need.

“I am honored to recognize Dustin Barron for his work to help human trafficking victims, those experiencing homelessness, and those at risk of homelessness,” said Congresswoman Lesko. “Human trafficking and homelessness are serious issues in our community. Approximately 13 percent of Arizonans are experiencing homelessness, and 25 percent of homeless Arizonans between the ages of 18 and 25 have reported being trafficked. We must work to eradicate human trafficking and homelessness in Arizona."

Congressional Recognitions are presented to residents of Arizona’s 8th Congressional District who are doing exceptional work in the community. If you would like to nominate someone for a Congressional Recognition, click here.
