Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) announced today that the 2020 Congressional Art Competition for middle and high school students throughout the Eighth Congressional District of Arizona is now underway. The theme this year for our art competition is: Arizona.
“The Congressional Art Competition is a unique opportunity for students to showcase their artistic talents,” said Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08). “I’m looking forward to another year of creative artwork from students across Arizona’s Eighth Congressional District.”
Background: Current students in grades 7-12 are invited to submit an original work of art for Congresswoman Lesko’s Congressional Art Competition. The Congressional Art Competition is open to all 7th – 12th grade students residing in or attending a school in Arizona’s 8th Congressional District. The winner of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The second-place winner will have their artwork displayed in Congresswoman Lesko’s Congressional office in Washington, D.C., and the third-place winner will have their artwork displayed in her District Office in Surprise, AZ. The deadline to submit artwork to Congresswoman Lesko's District office at 12515 W. Bell Road, Suite 104, Surprise, AZ is Monday, April 20, 2020.
