WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) released the following statement after the House vote to create Speaker Nancy Pelosi's politically partisan oversight committee.

“I support the vital role of congressional oversight. That is why I supported including three separate oversight functions in the CARES Act and why I support the oversight duties of our House's six different standing committees. I voted against Speaker Pelosi's politically partisan new oversight committee, however. As evidenced from Democrat speeches in the Rules Committee, it is evident that Pelosi's committee will only be used for political reasons to attack President Trump and influence the 2020 election."
