Today, Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-8) announced that she has joined the influential Republican Study Committee (RSC), a caucus of conservative Members of Congress, after ratification of her application by the RSC Steering Committee. She joins 157 other members of the U.S. House of Representatives committed to conservative values.
The RSC Steering Committee approved her membership this week based on Congresswoman Lesko's strong conservative record. The RSC was founded in 1973 and has since served as an influential force for conservative legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives. Some of the nation's most prominent leaders are former RSC members, including Vice President Mike Pence, four Cabinet officials, two former Vice Presidents, and 12 sitting Senators.
"I am honored to be a member of this important and influential caucus. The Republican Study Committee is a leading conservative voice in today's national conversation on the federal budget, national defense, healthcare, education, and other important legislation. I look forward to working with them to advance sound policy to improve life for Arizona families in the West and North Valley," said Lesko.
RSC Chairman Mark Walker: "As the largest caucus of conservatives in the House, the Republican Study Committee is honored to have Congresswoman Lesko fight with us to promote fiscal responsibility, a strong national defense and traditional values. She has already demonstrated her commitment to conservative values and she will be instrumental in ensuring conservative victories for constituents in Arizona for years to come."
