Press Releases

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) released the following statement after her vote against Democrats’ rushed impeachment resolution:

“At a time when our country desperately needs to move forward in pursuit of unity, it is deeply concerning that my Democratic colleagues have chosen to impeach a president with just seven days left in office. Additionally, the lack of deliberation in this impeachment is highly alarming. If Congress is going to act to remove a president, it must only be done after intense debate and deliberation, with careful consideration of its duty to uphold the Constitution—not rushed through in the 11th hour to make a point. This move by the House is dangerous and has far reaching implications for the future of our nation.”
