Today, the House of Representatives voted on H.R. 4760, the Securing America’s Future Act. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) released the following statement after voting in support of H.R. 4760:

"The House of Representatives had a historic opportunity today to pass much-needed legislation to permanently repair our nation’s broken immigration system. I supported H.R. 4760 today because it would have funded a border wall, closed the gaping loopholes in our immigration laws, and finally secured our southern border, ending this problem once and for all. Unfortunately, not one Democrat was willing to put our national security above illegal immigrants who broke the law. All refused to come to the negotiating table."

Background: On June 6, 2018, Congresswoman Lesko signed on as a cosponsor of H.R. 4760, the Securing America’s Future Act. Congresswoman Lesko also spoke on the House Floor earlier today in support of the bill. H.R. 4760 failed by a vote of 193-231.
