Today Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-8) voted for President Trump's rescissions package, H.R. 3 — the Spending Cuts to Expired and Unnecessary Programs Act. H.R. 3 passed 210 to 206 in the House of Representatives and now heads to the Senate. The package includes almost $15 billion in rescinded spending previously authorized in law.

"Our national debt stands at over $21 trillion and will cripple future generations if we don't get our spending under control. This commonsense rescission bill returns almost $15 billion to the U.S. Treasury and taxpayers. It is a good first step to get our fiscal house in order,"  said Lesko.

Congresswoman Lesko also recently cosponsored H.Res. 919 that recognizes the threat that our debt poses to our national security.
