Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) released the following statement after House Democrats passed H.R. 6, a bill that will provide amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.   

“Congressional Democrats have proven once again how they care more about illegal immigrants than U.S. Citizens.  U.S. House Democrats passed radical legislation that grants amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.  The legislation does nothing to solve the crisis at the border, expands amnesty to millions more than current DACA recipients, puts illegal immigrants in line for citizenship ahead of those that have waited years to enter legally and will make our border crisis worse by incentivizing more illegal immigrants to enter our country.  The legislation even grants this special amnesty to gang members identified by law enforcement, illegals who have committed multiple DUIs and illegal immigrants who have committed fraud. It is a sad day for Arizona and our nation when Democrats in charge at the U.S. House of Representatives prioritize illegal immigrants over our own citizens. Democrats are willing to spend 35 billion dollars on amnesty but not one penny towards helping secure our border.”
