WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) released the following statement in response to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) blatant abuse of power in the denial of Republican members on the Select Committee on January 6^th:

“If you were looking for proof that the Select Committee on January 6^th was going to be a partisan circus, look no further than the latest decision by Speaker Pelosi to deny Republican picks for the committee. Not only is this an egregious abuse of power and a total affront to minority rights, it also flies in the face of established precedent and is a stain on this institution. If the purpose of this committee was anything more than political theatre, Speaker Pelosi would have seated all minority members.”
