SURPRISE, ARIZONA—U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) presented Raising Tactical Daughters in Peoria, AZ with a Congressional Recognition for their commitment to the safety and security of women and girls. Raising Tactical Daughters provides women with trainings on situational awareness, de-escalation, and self-defense techniques and also offers support services for survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking.

“I am honored to recognize Raising Tactical Daughters for supporting the women and girls in our community,” said Congresswoman Lesko. “Raising Tactical Daughters provides critical training at a time when one out of six American women has suffered sexual abuse, and one out of four has experienced domestic violence. As a survivor of domestic violence, I know how critical it is that women and girls have the tools they need to defend themselves when necessary.”
