WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) introduced a resolution to disapprove of President Joseph R. Biden’s decision to cancel the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline. Lesko discussed the legislation in a joint hearing of the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittees on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security and Environment, Manufacturing, and Critical Materials.

“On day one, President Biden cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline, which did little to reduce emissions and was an insult to Canada, one of our most important allies,” said Congresswoman Lesko. “Many of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle have said that they disapprove of the president’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline, and I am proud to sponsor this resolution to give Congress the opportunity to denounce this irresponsible move.”

This resolution expresses that Congress disapproves of the January 20, 2021, revocation by President Biden of the presidential permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.

Lesko was joined by Representative Troy Balderson (R-OH-12) in introducing this resolution.
