WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko’s (AZ-08) resolution to disapprove of President Joseph R. Biden’s decision to cancel the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline passed the United States House of Representatives. This legislation was included in H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act.
“I am excited that my legislation to condemn President Biden’s reckless decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline has passed the U.S. House,” said Congresswoman Lesko. “President Biden’s move was nothing short of a disaster, and it was just the first in a long line of reckless energy policies. I am grateful to Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Majority Leader Steve Scalise for including this legislation in H.R. 1, and I am thankful for my colleagues who are standing up against the Biden Administration’s anti-energy agenda.”
This resolution expresses that Congress disapproves of President Biden’s January 20, 2021, revocation of the presidential permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.
